Our beautiful Chalet Guesthouse and Mountain Biking Club nestled in a picturesque 7.5 acre country hideaway between the towns of Duncan & Lake Cowichan in the gorgeous Cowichan Valley less than one hour from either Victoria or Nanaimo is a great home base to explore the entire Southern Vancouver Island. With the warm clean waters of the Cowichan River and the surrounding Ocean, this pristine environment provides a variety of activities, from mountain biking, hiking, river tubing and snorkeling, canoeing, kayaking, whale watching, fishing, paragliding, 4X4’ing, ATV’ing; to simply hanging-out & swimming in the sunshine & fresh air.Our private lake, extensive flower gardens and forest are a haven for abundant wildlife; relaxing on 5 patio/decks over-looking the gorgeous lake and mountain view you will observe a wide variety of native animals, insects & birds, not to mention the hilarious antics of our domestic pets in this nature lover's shangrila.You might be further entertained by members of our mountain biking club who come to enjoy the delicious veggie-friendly world-fusion meals, bonfires, hot-tub, wood-sauna, trampoline, music, cable TV/videos, weight room/cardio, games, woodstove, library, internet, MTB park, bike and equipment rentals, special activities and the SUPERB SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE. *Sorry, NO CHILDREN under 15 years allowed*WE DO NOT HAVE A COMMON KITCHEN but do provide reasonably prices snacks and gourmet, world-fusion dinners for .50 Cdn. (all food issues happily accommodated)For our guests we provide a choice of: 2 DOUBLE PRIVATE ROOMS: cozy, queen size bed, cedar walls, with large windows overlooking gardens, near bathroom (each sleep 2) /inc breakfastBUNKHOUSE: A clean & quaint, heated out-building with storage lockers & a sun deck (sleeps 2 couples & 4 singles) /inc. breakfastAll accommodations include BREAKFAST and LINEN.We sometimes accept pets (with advance notice & day fee); 24 hour access/reception, parking, laundry, lockers and sundries.
