Birdwatchers can watch wildlife right from the huge terrace, which is surrounded by primary forest and secondary growth, as well as by coffee- and banana plants.Walking on our trail you can see Toucans, Trogons, Quetzals, the 3 wattled Bellbird, Mot Mots, Manakins, parrots, hummingbirds, Toldedos, hawks, woodpeckers, butterflies and other winged beauties of this zone with a little bit of luck. We have also seen a variety of mammals as raccoons, opossums, agoutis, foxes, bats, which come right to our house every night, between other more shy species. Finca Cielo Verde has a very special location. Birds and animals stay up here in the mountains to survive, because further down the Pacific slope the forests have been cut.
